The Castle of Lichtenstein with its fantastic location is one of the most favourable places of excursion of the Swabian mountains. It was built between 1840 and 1842 from the beginning it was designed as a romantic "fairy tale castle". Until today, the castle belongs to the constructor's family. As a visitor, you have access to nearly all rooms of the castle, apart from the pompous interieur, the historic hunt and weapon collection is worth seeing. The view from Lichtenstein is legendary, you should by no means miss this highlight! For the excursion you will need: semester ticket, a packed lunch and something to drink, walking shoes and a pullover/jacket.
