Weekend in the Danube valley

Hey outdoor-freaks,

We are planning an adventure journey which will lead us to the Danube valley. Especially for you, we have arranged an amazing programme: we will go canoeing on the Danube, visit the castle of Sigmaringen, have a delicious BBQ, and spend the nights in real wigwams. A lot of fun and action are guaranteed!


Programme and information


Friday, July 1:

Meeting point: railway station Tübingen at 9 am

Train from Tübingen to Beuron

Hiking tour from Beuron to the campinground in Hausen im Tal (approx. 12 km)

Pitching the tents

Dinner at Pension Murmeltier  (www.murmeltier.com)

Saturday, July 2:

Breakfast at the camping ground

Bus to Sigmaringen

Guided tour in the Castle of Sigmaringen

wandering through the city

afternoon: free time


Sunday, Julye 3:

Breakfast at Pension Murmeltier

Canoeing tour from Hausen im Tal to Sigmaringen (approx. 7 hours including breaks)

Train from Sigmaringen to Tübingen where we will arrive at about 7 pm



Fees: 75€

(includes accommodation in tents, breakfast, canoeing tour, BBQ and dinner, guided tour in the Castle of Sigmaringen)

What you should definitely bring along:

- suitable walking shoes

- a lunch package and enough water for our walking tour on Friday

- towels, your  hygiene bag, suncream, swimwear for our canoeing tour

- waterproof shoes or flip-flops for Sunday

- warm and weather-proof clothing if it gets cold in the evenings or if the weather is not good

- a camping mat/ inflatable mattress and a sleeping bag for the nights in the tents


The canoeing tour will be on the river Danube. In case you cannot swim, please let us know in advance.

Your luggage will be transported by car to Sigmaringen, so your stuff is safe!
